WHAT IS A DOCTOR’S ROLE IN TODAY’S SOCIETY?

NHS Leadership fellow Dr Mark Gregory presents his seminal workshop on modern medical professionalism, followed by the Lead-In AGM.

What do doctors do? What should we really be doing? Who is in charge?What is our role in shaping the national healthcare debate? In what areas should the profession evolve in the future?
This workshop aims to extend the understanding of medical professionalism; to equip participants appropriately to deliver effective and strong leadership within our health service.

Lead-In and the IHI Open School Imperial College London Chapter, invite you to an evening workshop exploring quality improvement in healthcare, with contributions from quality improvement experts from Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and the Institute of Healthcare Improvement (USA).

Dr Robert Klaber, Associate Medical Director for QI at Imperial NHS Trust, is joined by Dr Francesca Cleughand Dr Lucy Pickard to introduce the tools and skills required to Mainage change in the NHS and beyond.

CRITICAL APPRAISAL OF HEALTH INNOVATIONS 
REVIEW, ANALYSE, DISCUSS

Dr Caz Sayer, Chair of Camden CCG, leads an interactive tutorial on innovative commissioning. 
What are the greatest health needs and challenges of our population? How do health providers address and prioritise those needs? How can we create affordable, accountable care? Learn the latest skills and processes being used to prioritise complex healthcare needs, and have a go at commissioning for yourselves!

Following this, The Clinical UX Association will demonstrate how to design a successful app and add value to the user. We shall appraise 2 digital health innovations in the process: 
Founder and CEO Dr Will Barker presents the app Doctor Toolbox and Mr Omar Akhtar, Digital Technology Head at Harvey Nash, presents his digital community that supports those who have lost someone to suicide.
